Every person, male or female, boy or girl, has the right to be safe. You have the right to say NO. No one else has the right to make any other person does sexual acts she/he would not have freely chosen to do.
It is not OK for anyone to touch you in any way that makes you feel uncomfortable—not Mommy, Daddy, aunt, uncles, teachers or even your friends. Your body is yours and yours alone and you always have a right to say no to someone.
If you are in an uncomfortable situation, tell someone about your problem. This may be your teacher, parent, doctor or neighbour. There are also confidential counsellors who can help you on hotlines that you can call.

Strategies for protection
Set your boundary
Think about back-up plan.
Stay alert.
|
Make a plan.
Be smart.
The most important thing is to tell someone if you or a friend has a problem and keep on telling until something is done.
- If you’re attending a party, make sure you go and leave together with people you trust. Keep an eye and have a back-up plan for each other when things do not seem to be right.
Be smart.
- If you want to escape from a situation immediately, but concern about offending someone, be smart to find an excuse to save yourself. Never allow yourself to stay in a situation that you feel pressured, uncomfortable, or threatened. Get an excuse to exit from the situation, and contact your trusted person immediately. Be smart, be safe!

In reality, EC pills are not an abortifacient (Drugs causing abortion). According to International Federation of Gynaecology & Obstetrics and International Consultation of Emergency Contraception states that EC pills work primarily by preventing/delaying ovulation and reduce risk of fertilized egg implantation to the uterine wall.
- EC pills are important to be taken as soon as possible after an unprotected sexual intercourse (UPSI). There is no age restriction for purchasing EC pills in Malaysia. In fact, can be obtained over the counter at local pharmacies without a prescription.
