All boys also go through a changing process called puberty. This changes usually starts from age 11 to 15. Remember that there is no correct time and that is not a race.
Physical changes in a boy's body:
  • Voice gets deeper.
  • Shoulders get broader.
  • Hips become narrower.
  • Facial, chest and pubic hair starts to grow.
  • Penis and testicles grows larger.
  • Experiencing wet dreams.
  • Oily face and acne starts to appear.
  • Body odour.
  • Growth spurts.

During puberty, boys may develop facial hair, pubic hair around genitals and hair under armpits. Their voice deepens and some may occasionally get pimples and acne. Their sweat may begin to have a strong odour. Puberty in boys includes a growth spurt where they suddenly grow taller,  and their genitals grow bigger.

Around puberty, boys begin having frequent spontaneous erections of the penis. This occurs when the penis fills with blood and gets bigger. They begin to produce sperm and other fluids to make semen.

WHAT IS SEMEN?
Semen is the whitish fluid that comes out of the penis. Some boys may experience wet dreams meaning ejaculating semen while sleeping. It is normal if it happens, and normal if it doesn't.


Some boys also may possibly begin to experiment with masturbation. ​
