GENDER ROLES? WHAT IS IT?
Gender roles are how each person is expected to dress, to speak and act, the work that they are expected to do and how they are permitted to interact with each other. These roles are shaped by their society. Gender roles vary between cultures, ethnic groups and social classes.


Every culture, they got expectations for the way men and women, boys and girls should dress, behave and look. What are the gender roles that you notice in your culture?
 
Children learn gender roles from an early age. As children grow, behaviors are adopted by praises and love. They also stop or hide behaviors that are laughed at, punished or shamed. By the time they are three years old, children usually have learned toys and clothes “appropriate” for their gender in their society.
