The onset puberty varies among individuals. Girls usually start puberty around ages 8 to 13 years old, but every girl is different. Breasts will start to develop, pubic hair starts to grow, their ovaries and uterus will begin to prepare for menstruation.

Physical changes in a girl:
  • ​Curvy body with widen hips - may experience weight gain particularly at the hip area. (Do not be afraid, it means that you are getting a womanly shape!)
  • Increased weight and height.
  • Breast buds start to develop, initially as a small swelling and it gets bigger.
  • Acne's and oily face starts to appear.
  • Voice becoming mature.
  • Hair starts to grow particularly at the pubic and underarm area.
  • Your sweat glands become more active, these sweat comes in contact with bacteria on your skin and produce body odour. 
  • Vaginal discharge (whitish).
  • Period starts.
